Barbara D. (nee DeLong), 70, of Clifton, passed away on July 20, 2015. Mrs. Webber was born in Paterson and spent her childhood there, in Hawthorne and in Prospect Park. She lived in Clifton beginning in 1969 and spent many happy summers in Ocean Grove, NJ. Mrs. Webber was employed as a Sales Associate with Outwater Plastics of Bogota for 23 years, and retired just this past Thursday. Mrs. Webber passed away suddenly in the way she might have hoped: in her beloved Ocean Grove, on a beautiful summer day, with sand in her shoes and her husband by her side.
Mrs. Webber was a graduate of DePaul High School in Wayne. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church in Clifton where she was a member of the Leisure Club. Mrs. Webber was active in the Women of the Moose in Clifton and the Passaic County Republican Women's Club. She had a passion for participating in craft shows all over New Jersey, but especially at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.
Mrs. Webber was a devoted and loyal wife to her beloved husband, James K. Webber; an incredible and selfless mother to her grateful son, James K. "Jay" Webber, Jr. and his wife, Johanna of Morris Plains, NJ; a proud and active grandma to seven loving grandchildren, Annalise, Molly, Cora Rose, Jack, Max, Eli and Lily; and a big sister to her brother, Edward DeLong.
Funeral services will be Friday 9:15 AM from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting will be Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. Although Mrs. Webber often said that an unexpected rose is an answer to a prayer, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Regional High School, 40 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Montvale, NJ 07645 or St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, 703 Main St., Paterson, NJ 07503.
