Carmela Nasello Obituary
Paramus, NJ - Carmela "Lena" Nasello (nee) Leggio on January 20, 2021 of Paramus, N.J., age 89.
Carmela lovingly known by everyone as Lena, was born on March 14, 1931 in Ragusa, Sicily, Italy
and came to the United States in 1956.
She spent most of her life in Fairview, N.J. before moving in with her son in Saddle Brook, N.J.
Lena was a loving homemaker and was an excellent custom seamstress. She loved gardening, baking and
much to her families enjoyment, singing italian songs. She loved having espresso with her brother Sal and her favorite
quote was "La Vita e funny" (Life is funny). Lena struggled with Alzheimer's disease for the last 8 years but is now in the
arms of her beloved husband Salvatore and cherished daughter Phyllis.
Beloved wife to the late Salvatore (2005).
Cherished daughter to the late Giuseppina (nee) Caggia and Giuseppe Leggio.
Devoted mother to the late Phyllis Nasello (2017) and son Joseph.
Dear sister to Salvatore Leggio and his wife Perrina.
Adored grandmother to Joseph Jr. , Eric and Ashley Nasello.
Cherished aunt to John DiStefano , Joseph Leggio and Sister Maria Teresa Leggio.
Loving mother-in-law to Marilyn Sinisi Nasello.
Lena will truly be missed by all her family and friends.
Funeral from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home 495 Anderson Avenue Cliffside Park, N.J. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 9:00am
thence to Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in Fairview, N.J where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00am. Entombment
follow at Fairview Mausoleum in Fairview, N.J. The family will receive their friends Monday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may
be made in Lena's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
