Clifford MAISCO Obituary

MAISCO Clifford J., 84, of Stockholm, died December 11, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital in Sussex.Mr. Maisco was the son of Michael and Elizabeth (Dul) Maisco. Born in Wallington, NJ on October 26, 1925, he resided in Wallington until 1968, when he moved to Stockholm. He was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS Hawkins during World War II. Clifford retired from IT&T in Clifton after 37 years of employment. After retirement he worked as a custodian for the Hardyston Township School for 10 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen (Hursh) Maisco in 1996 and his son-in-law Joseph Eltz in 2005. He is survived by his eight children and their spouses: Kathleen Eltz of Drexel Hill, PA; Joseph (Cliff) and Joan Maisco of Montague, NJ; Suzanne and Richard Bartlett of Carlstadt, NJ; Maryellen and John Hackett of Stockholm, NJ; Raymond and Theresa Maisco of Sunrise Lake, PA; Michael and Lynne Maisco of West Newton, PA; Gerardine Desseaux of Egg Harbor City, NJ and her fiancé Mark Dwyer of New Hampshire; and Christopher Maisco of Stockholm, NJ. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, PO Box 287, Newfoundland, NJ.A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10 AM at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Route 23, Stockholm, NJ.Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge Road, Oak Ridge, NJ.

Dad, you have always been my hero and my strength. No matter what I was going through you were there to support me and with just the right words to make it all better. Daddy, Thank you for giving us a strong faith in God. You taught us how important "family" is. Our faith and our close family is what will help us through our grief. You touched so many lives outside our family, too.
I will miss watching Shuttle Launches and Yankee games with you.
I know that you are at peace and sharing in God's glory. You are surrounded in Heaven, as you were surrounded on earth with loved ones and friends. I know that you will be looking down on us and that will keep us strong. I Love You! Maryellen
