Dolores Collado Obituary
Paterson - Lopez Collado, Dolores Matilde, age 81, of Paterson, died on January 15, 2021. Born in Laguna Salada and raised in Santiago and Santo Domingo. At the age of 23 she emigrated to Puerto Rico. She lived in Puerto Rico for 4 years and the Bronx for 32 years prior to settling in Paterson for 20 years. Matilde was a floor lady for over 20 years and worked in the laundry department at the Hilton Hotel in New York, NY for 15 years prior to retiring in 1999. She is survived by two loving children, Dr. Anna A. Collado and husband Dr. Thomas Cocke, and Tony E. Collado (U.S. Army ret.) and wife Nuri, eight beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Kristina, Vincent, Laura Sophia, Christian, Matthew, Alex, and Emiliano, 9 great-grandchildren, and 10 siblings, Maria Picahardo, Luz Maria Minaya, Dario Collado and wife Altagracia, Hector, Cristina, Josefina, Ana Ramona, Arturo, Miguel, and Marta Liberta Lopez. She is predeceased by her mother, Ana Felicia Collado, and a brother, Miguel M. Echevarria. The Memorial Visiting will be 2 to 6 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 with a 5:30 pm chapel service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512. The Lopez Collado family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
