Domenico, age 83, of Rio Rancho, NM, formerly of West Paterson, at rest peacefully at home on July 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 52 years of the former Rose Marie Angotti of Rio Rancho. Loving father of Juliet Mancini Tross and her husband Mark of Rio Rancho, NM and Dr. Domenico "Nick" Mancini and his wife Brittnye Cunningham Mancini of Hope Mills, NC. Dear grandfather of Jesse Aaron Stephens and Seth Michael Stephens, both of Rio Rancho, James "Peyton" Cunningham of Hope Mills and Aisha Maria Tross Funiciello and her husband John of East Rutherford. Great-grandfather of Giovanni and Massimo Funiciello. Dear brother of Gaetano, Antonio and Mario Mancini, all of Woodland Park and Fernando Mancini of West Long Branch and Filomena Lucci of Ridgewood. Also surviving are twenty three nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. Born in Pacentro, Prov.
di L'Aquila, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1957 settling in Paterson before moving to West Paterson in 1967 where he resided until 2002 before moving to Rio Rancho, NM. He was a Mechanic for Display Equations, Brooklyn, N.Y. for many years before retiring in 2001. Mr. Mancini is a survivor of Nazi occupied Italy when he was a child. He was an avid pro wrestling fan and he loved to garden. He loved woodworking and he made furniture. After moving to Rio Rancho, he built his wife the most beautiful gazebo. Mr. Mancini loved his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral mass at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, Dayton and Caldwell Streets, Paterson on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at 7 PM. A memorial service and interment of his cremains will take place in Rio Rancho on October 25, 2014.
