Dominick Gavio Obituary
Dominick Del Gavio formerly of Fort Lee and Surf City, NJ died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4th in Lakewood, NJ at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Anna (Mincieli) and their five children: Diane Voltolina (Ted), Rudy Del Gavio (Mei), Sandra Shaw (Lex), Marie Del Gavio-Saville (Phil) and Dominick Del Gavio, Jr. (Karrie); his grandchildren, Teddy, Lisa and Andrea Voltolina, Steven and Dominique Shaw, Maria Carlson, Dominick Del Gavio III, and Kailing Del Gavio; his sister Helen Carreira and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Giro and Marie, and his siblings: Anthony (his twin brother), Ann, Alfred, Louis and Rudolph.
Dominick began his career as an expert machinist. He was co-owner of Stevens Marine Repair, Co. West New York, NJ and worked for many years as a specialist in the marine hydraulics field. His favorite times were spent on LBI, barbecuing a feast for his family. Dominick was a people person who loved life and who was devoted to his family.
A private service was held at the Ocean County Crematorium in Toms River, NJ on April 6th. The family would like to thank Harrogate and Holistic Hospice for their care and dedication.
