Edward Onyskow Obituary

PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Edward W. Onyskow, 84, who died on Saturday, March 30, 2013. He was the father of Tricia Fama of this township.

Mr. Onyskow was born in Bayonne. He was a senior flavor chemist at Fritzche Dodge & Olcott, New York, where he worked for more than 27 years. Later, he worked for the Takasago International Corporation in Teterboro and was a consultant at Frutarom in North Bergen. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus Monday Night Bowling League, and an emeritus member of the Society of Flavor Chemists. And, he was a member of Knights of Columbus South Amboy Council No. 426.

Services were Friday at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, South Amboy, followed by Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.

Mr. Onyskow also is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his other daughters, Suzanne Onyskow of Point Pleasant Beach, and Darcy DeLise of York, Maine; his sister, Dorothy Loscalzo of Lanoka Harbor; his brother, Richard of Englewood, Fla.; and three grandsons.
