I prayed and prayed for you to stay, though deep down I knew you had to go away to the other side in God's care, where there is only laughter and never fear. I miss you more with each passing day. Your voice, your touch, your warm embrace, that smirk you put on your face. Holding your hand, I will walk in the sand. Private moments you and I shared. Knowing without asking how much you cared. I wish we could have grown old together. With you by my side, life was much better. We were a team, you and me. You lived to make me happy, there is no doubt in that. Loving your family is what you were all about. A braver woman, I never knew. It's been an honor being your husband, I'll be in love with you for the rest of my life. I'll be okay because I'll see you through eternity. Until then, I'll have my special angel here to watch over me.
