Ephrem Ormezzano Obituary

ORMEZZANO Ephrem P. "Cookie", 76, of North Haledon on November 24, 2010. Born in Paterson he had lived in North Haledon for the past 47 years. He served in the United States Army and prior to his retirement was a self-employed carpenter. Devoted and active member of the North Haledon Fire Company #2, he served as former Trustee and Treasurer as well as former Treasurer of the North Haledon Relief Association. Life member and Treasurer of the New Jersey State Firemen's Association, life member of the New Jersey State Exempt Firemen's Association and Treasurer of the North Jersey Volunteer Firemen's Association. Former Vice-President of the Bergen/Passaic Exempt Firemen's Association. Beloved husband of Eileen Ormezzano (nee Tanski) of North Haledon. Devoted father of Debra Paskowski and her husband Bill of Wappingers Falls, New York, James Ormezzano and his wife Cheryl of North Haledon, Robert Ormezzano and his wife Kristin of North Haledon and Kimberly Mascelli of North Haledon. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Billy and Stephen Paskowski, Jimmy, Amanda and Tyler Ormezzano, Matteo Ormez-zano and Kendra and Emma Mascelli. Dear brother of Lea Battiato of Bronx, New York. Funeral Services Monday 10:30 am at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the fa-mily requests donations be made in "Cookie's" memory to the New Jersey Firemen's Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
