My memories of Esther will warm me forever. She was my colleague, friend and personal adviser---and adopted grandmother to my children. I looked forward to her smiling face every morning we worked together and relied on her candid opinions (which she offered freely without being asked!!)
I enjoyed the all-consuming pride and love she felt for her 3 children and not a day went by without my hearing something wonderful about Beth or Amy or Andy. The relationship she had with her children guided me as I was raising mine and I strove to develop the free lines of communication with my children that she maintained with hers.
Our days of working together will remain as one of the highlights of my career.
My thoughts go out to her whole family.
