Frank J. Terranova

Frank J. Terranova, age 94, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away on June 11, 2018. He was born September 4, 1923 to Giuseppe and Maria Terranova. Born in Manhattan, NY he resided in Adams Station, North Brunswick, NJ, Astoria Long Island and Manhattan and in 1965 settled in Wyckoff, NJ for 46 years. Frank and his wife, Dorothy moved to Maryland in 2011 to be near their family. Frank is a U.S. Army veteran. He served in the Signal Corp during World War II in the European and Pacific theatres and he was honorably discharged in 1946. Following his service, Frank received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute using the GI Bill and an MBA from New York University. Frank was employed for 27 years with Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY as a Mechanical Engineer and retired in 1992. He was an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Activities Unlimited. He was a dedicated, longtime parishioner of St. Elizabeth RC Church, Wyckoff, NJ and most recently a parishioner of St. Andrews By the Bay, Annapolis, MD. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Terranova on December 28, 2017. He is survived by his daughters: Susan Terranova of Arnold, MD, Beth Terranova, Patricia Terranova and Cathy Terranova all of Annapolis, MD; four grandchildren: Tina of Catonsville, MD, Shannon of Burke, VA, Frank, stationed in Ramstein, Germany, and Patrick of Baltimore, MD; and three great-grandchildren: Logan, Abigail, and Mason. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 9:45 am at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. The interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Elizabeth's RC Church, Wyckoff, NJ, or St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly of the Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Land, Totowa, NJ, 07512.
