Fred Quantmeyer Obituary

QUANTMEYER
Fred Henry "Q", Jr., 88, of New York City, died Dec. 31, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, RI. Born in River Edge, NJ, Fred was a son of the late Fred Henry and Frances Pauline(Strantz) Quantmeyer, Sr. and step-son of the late Adelyn Quantmeyer. He was the former husband of Jeanie Jamieson Quantmeyer.
Fred was the owner of Harrington Park Hardware in Harrington Park, NJ until retiring. He was a proud alumni and graduate of Rutgers University, class of 1951 and a member of TKE Fraternity. Fred also honorably served as a major in the U.S. Air Force and served in the U.S. Army.
Fred is survived by his partner of 34 years: Joseph Cancassi of NYC; his beloved children: Lynn Q. Kelley (Paul) of Wilmington, DE, Allan J. Quantmeyer (Debra) of Conway, SC, Glenn J. Quantmeyer (Jamie R.) of Harrington Park, NJ and Ellen J. Quantmeyer of Warwick, RI and nine grandchildren.
