George DeJohn Obituary

George DeJohn of Union, formerly of Verona died on May 24. He was 93.

Born in Newark, he lived in Orange where he raised his family, moved to Verona and retired to Toms River where he lived for 15 years and then moved to Union in 1996.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WWII, where he was decorated for his service. He worked for many years as a tractor trailer driver prior to his retirement.

He is predeceased by his wife Theresa DeJohn.

He is survived by his children Diane Ostella and her husband Gary and George DeJohn and his wife Pat. His is also survived by his grandchildren George Jr., Dean, Dena and Raymond Jr. and his great-grandchildren Tanner and Tiffany.

Funeral services were held at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home. Entombment is at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
