George C. Thebold

Thebold, George C., age 80, of Haskell, on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, New York, George grew up there and later moved to Long Island, New York. He had been a resident of Haskell for over 40 years. George was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, target shooting, hiking, and always appreciated a good meal. George C. Thebold was the beloved husband of Cathy (nee Polito) Thebold. Loving father of Mary Aveta and her husband Louis of Fairview, George Thebold and his wife Karen of Ogdensburg, and Matthew Thebold and his wife Linda of Wanaque. Grandfather of David, Alex, Erin, Amanda, Kim, Josh, and Tommy. Brother of Charlotte Polk and her husband the late Donald. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral will be departing at 9:00am on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne for a 9:30am funeral service at the Hawthorne Gospel Church, Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. (www.browningforshay.com)
