PAPPAGALLO Grace (nee Palumbo), age 89, a 46 year resident of Fort Lee, on Saturday May 21, 2011 in the loving arms of her children. Born in New Haven, CT, and grew up in Hoboken. A designer and dressmaker she owned Grace's Bridal Shop, of Hoboken. Also worked in the garment district of New York City, she was a member of the ILGWU. A Parishioner of Madonna RC Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of DAV Auxillary, member of AARP and the Main Street Fort Lee Senior Citizens Club. Beloved wife of the late Saverio "Sam" Pappagallo. Devoted mother of Nicholas Pappagallo and his wife Gloria Jean and Dr. Mariann Pappagallo. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Pappagallo, Jr. and his wife Cher and Lisa Pappagallo Heath and her husband Scott. Adored great-grandmother of Connor Heath. Dear sister of Elizabeth Sasso and Jeanette Pansini and the late Grace and Antoinette. Loving daughter of the late Nicolo and Isabella Palumbo. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 6-9 and Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, opposite Fort Lee Library. Dear Mariann, we can not tell you how very sorry we are that your mother has passed. She is in a happier place now with the Lord looking down on you and comforting you. There are no words that can ease the pain of loosing a mother but please know we are here for you as just a shoulder to cry on or to listen to the many wonderful memories you have of her.
