Henry P. Kedron

Henry P. Kedron born in New York City in 1926 died on November 8, 2017 peacefully after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Jane, his brother-in law and sister-in-law, Dr. Thaddeus and Terry Gromada, and many nieces and nephews. He resided in Hasbrouck Heights since 1957. Following graduation from both Passaic H. S. and Passaic Vocational H. S. he served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II for two years in the Pacific theater. He was then employed by L. C. Eichner Instruments for over 20 years where he became a master scientific instrument maker. This company collaborated with major universities and scientific institutions for whom it produced instruments that expanded knowledge of the universe e.g. the Hubble telescope. Henry also worked on the reproduction of ancient instruments like the astrolabe that are now in the Smithsonian Institution. Henry is a graduate of Kean University with a major in industrial education. Later he served as adjunct professor at that university. In 1967 Henry began sharing his skills and knowledge at Northern Highlands Regional High School as teacher of industrial education. He retired from teaching in 1987. Henry also collaborated closely with his wife, Jane, co-editor of the quarterly bilingual "Tatra Eagle" as technical editor. This publication has been published continuously since 1947.
