Jean HANRAHAN

HANRAHAN Jean (Castaldi), 79, of Paterson, died Saturday, May 1, 2010. Born in Clifton, she resided there until moving to Paterson 22 years ago. A graduate of CHS, Jean was employed as a Probate Clerk for the Passaic County Surrogate's Office in Paterson for 18 years prior to her retirement in 1994. She served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Jean is a parishioner of St. Brendan RC Church in Clifton. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Hanrahan, and by a sister, Mary Castaldi. Jean is survived by five sons, Michael and wife Fay, Timothy and wife Theresa, Joseph and wife Jacqueline, Matthew and wife Suzanne, John and wife Nancy, by 14 grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Brianne, Timothy Jr., Shannen, Cortlyn, Jayne, Kelly, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Kathleen, Daniel, Ryan and Andrew Hanrahan, by a brother, John "Tony" Castaldi and by a sister, Philomena Harsaghy. Funeral services will begin 9:15 AM, Wednesday, at Allwood Funeral Home, 660-670 Allwood Road, Clifton, with a 10 AM Mass at St. Brendan RC Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
