Joachim Kaufhold Obituary

KAUFHOLD Joachim "Jack" age 81, on January 15 , 2008 of River Edge. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Obach). Cherished father of Stephen Kaufhold and his wife Karen Mikita- Kaufhold of Lebanon Township, and Michael Kaufhold and his wife Maiy of Lumberton NJ. Adored grandfather of Caroline and Christian. Dear brother in law of the late Col. Ronald M. Obach and his wife Ellen Obach of Ocean NJ, as well as Ronald's two children Debra and Philip. Mr. Kauf-hold was a WWII Navy Vete-ran, a graduate of the Univer-sity of Denver, a member of the Msgr. Burke Council K. of C., former president and coach of River Edge Little League. Visitation is private. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass, Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Peter The Apostle R.C. Church in River Edge. Cremation is private. Arrangements are thro-ugh the Beaugard Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Rd., River Edge.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Phyllis and the family. I worked and commuted with Jack for many years to Johnson & Higgins in NYC. It was always a pleasure to be in his company and had many good times together. Though we had lost contact since his retirement, we started to get together again with several other J & H retirees at a monthly breakfast. We will all miss him.
