Joan Ingalls Obituary
Joan Donovan Ingalls, 93, of Tenafly went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2018. Born 1924 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Francis J. and Teresa Burns Donovan. Her beloved husband, Warren M. Ingalls, Jr., preceded her in death in 1973. After graduating from the Katherine Gibbs School, she was employed as a secretary before raising her family. She later returned to her profession, eventually retiring from the Tenafly Police Department as secretary to the chief of police. She was an active member of both the Tenafly Women's Club, working to help others in the community, and Willow Valley. Surviving are her children and their spouses: Paul Ingalls (Jeannie), James Ingalls (Robin), John Ingalls (Donna), Ann Hastings (Ken), and Mary Dolan (Tom), 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her brother, Robert F. Donovan. Visitation at the Barrett Funeral Home 148 Dean Dr Tenafly on Tuesday January 9th 4-7pm. Funeral mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 10th at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Englewood, NJ. Memorials may be made to either: VNA Hospice, 15 Engle St, Englewood, N.J. 07631 or Pathfinder Village Foundation, 3 Chenango Road, Edmeston, New York 13335.

so sorry to read about your mom's passing...i remember when our moms worked for dr kaplow years ago (my mom's anniversary is jan 12 and another "mt carmel mom" mrs morris' anniversary is jan 6)...you and your family are in my prayers...sincerely, tom young
