John Bergholtz Obituary

BERGHOLTZ - John T., Sr. a lifelong resident of Hillsdale, NJ, on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Beloved husband of Marie Bergholtz (nee Brent). Devoted father of Debi Goldstein and her husband Steven and the late John T. Bergholtz, Jr. Dear brother of Edgar Bergholtz. Loving grandfather of Shannon, Stacey and Ashley Bergholtz and Joseph Gadino. Jack was a life member, served as chief in 1968 and was an exempt fireman for the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department Hose Company #1. One of the many projects that Jack worked on for the fire department was the addition of the second floor to the new fire department building in 1968 where he served as chairman and spent much of his time doing the finishing work of other firemen. Funeral Liturgy at Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Township of Washington, NJ on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated. Hillsdale Fire Department Service on Tuesday at 8 PM.
