John W. Cleary

CLEARY
John W. (Jack), of Edgewater, NJ died on August 2, 2013 after a five-year battle with cancer. Jack was 65 and is survived by his cherished wife Heather (née Raskin) and two loving children, Zachary Cleary and Danika (Matt) Laszuk; two grandchildren, Asha and Marlo, all of Brooklyn; and three siblings: Joseph Cleary of Irving, TX; James Cleary of Denver, CO; and Eileen Sellers of Bowling Brook, Ill. He was predeceased by his brother William J. Cleary, Jr.
An avid student, Jack studied at St Peter's Prep and College and Georgetown University, and at the time of his death he had been accepted to Columbia University MBA program.
Jack was a visionary and entrepreneur. He left his position as a stockbroker at Bear Stearns to work in communications in the Philippines, China, and the United Arab Emirates, ultimately forming and serving as CEO of Next Generation Networks, a global wireless communications company that provides multimedia broadband and security solutions in developing and under-served communities around the world. Jack was most proud of the fact that NGN brought educational opportunities to those who would not otherwise have this access.
