John J. "Jack" 95 of Clifton died Saturday, April 25, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he resided in Nutley before moving to Clifton 35 years ago. Jack had been employed as an expeditor for Leslie's Controls in Parsippany prior to his retirement. He is a US Coast Guard Veteran of WWII who served aboard the USS Spencer. Jack is a member of American Legion Post #8 and the Athenia Veterans Post both in Clifton and Lions International. He was a parishioner of St. Mary RC Church in Nutley. Jack is predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Weyersberg), by a granddaughter, Audrey Lynn Cannata-Drache and by a brother, Joseph Curran. He is survived by a daughter, Joanne Cannata and husband Jerry of Butler, by a great-grandson, Kevin T. Drache of Stockholm, by a nephew, Joseph Curran and wife Pat of Langhorn, PA and by many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Wednesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8PM.
