John Frankovsky Obituary

FRANKOVSKY
John M., passed away Thanksgiving Day at the age of 83 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Best remembered as the owner of Frankovsky's Meat Market working alongside his mother, Mary, for many a decade. The old time grocery store, located at 89 Jewel Street, boasted a beautiful tin ceiling and aged tall wooden shelving. John would serve his customers with a joking remark along with the best darn kielbasy ever.
He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 62 years, Rita, two heartbroken daughters: Christine Meliti of Toms River & Nancy Schiesl of Allamuchy, (3) granddaughters, and (3) great-grandchildren.
The family would like you to remember John as the happy, funny man you once knew, the devoted husband, the man who was the center of attention at parties, one of the original Giants fans, the best coupon cutter, the Garfield High star football player, and the man who was always frugal with himself yet would give the world if he could to his kids.
And that world will not be the same without him. May his lively spirit live within us always and may we remember how he loved us all. An angel is in Heaven now.
