John LoPresto Obituary
John R. LoPresto, 81, died Monday, May 24, 2021.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in North Arlington for the past 29 years.
He served as the Police Director for the Guttenberg Police Department from 2002-2004. Earlier, he worked for the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey for 33 years retiring as Police Inspector in 1994.
John was the beloved husband for 60 years of Camille LoPresto ( nee Galano ); the devoted father of John LoPresto Jr., Maria Herrel and her husband Alan, and the late Elena Kish and her surviving husband Thomas; the cherished grandfather of Dr. Justin Herrel, Mia Sara Herrel and Dane Kish; and the dear brother of Marie Lanza and her husband Frank, and Ellen Eisenstein and her husband Martin.
Funeral from the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Friday, May 28th at 9 a.m. thence to Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Thursday 3-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis , TN 38105.

Dear Camile and Family,
With shock I found out about John's passing today when you called, I am heartbroken. John was the nicest, kindest, most compassionate man and I always enjoyed his visit to his home away from home. I am so so sorry to hear this news today. I understood you are coming to see us this year, and can't wait to give you a big big hug. He will be SO missed.
