John Macarell Obituary
John David Jr., age 52, passed away Thursday, January 3rd, 2013. Born in Yonkers, NY he lived in Pompton Plains before moving to West Milford 13 years ago. John was a clinical trials manager for Novartis, East Hanover. Beloved husband of Gailann (Hastings) Macarell, loving father of Brian and Benjamin Macarell of West Milford, loving son of John David and Ellen Mary (O'Leary) Macarell of Easton, PA; brother of Leslie Ann (Macarell) Blakely and her husband Christopher R. Blakely along with nephew and godchild Christian Jospeh Blakely all of Newton. Brother in law of Mary Elizabeth, Kathleen, Michael and Brian Hastings. Predeceased by his brother James Joseph Macarell in 1964. Funeral liturgy 10 A.M. Monday at St. Jospeh's Church, 454 Germantown Rd; West Milford with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Richards Funeral Home 1440 Union Valley Rd. West Milford. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Joseph's Church Food Pantry would be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. I realize it is 3 years after the fact. I met John when we were working at Bradlees together in the early 80's. We saw many movies together. My condolences to the family.
