“Mecka lecka hi, mecka hiney ho.” Just goes to show that there are no small parts. Jambi has been a part of my fabric since Pee-wee's Playhouse, an Emmy Award-winning children's series run on CBS from 1986 to 1991. I was TWENTY-SIX when the show started, and Jambi has consciously been in my wheel house of references ever since.

Thank you John for being my best friend in Junior High and High School. John and I grew up together in Fort Collins Colorado back in the 60's and 70's. We would sit in Johns basement for hours and draw weird pictures that in hind sight today would be works of art. You could tell then that John was going to go on and do great things. When he would come over to my house he would start one of his wild skits and he would have my mom laughing so hard she would have tears coming out of her eyes. Of course John was the funniest guy in school and would have everyone laughing. I could go on for hours telling stories of things John and I did but one of the funniest was when we were working up at the Pingree Park Forestry Camp about 45 miles up in the wilderness back in 1970 we worked in the mess hall serving all of the college students food and at the end of the night we had to take the trash out to the dumpsters behind the hall and one night John took the trash out and all I heard was John screaming bloody murder and as I looked out the window I could see John being chased by a Black Bear that John had surprised in the dumpster, luckily John made it back inside before the bear caught up to him. Anyway like I said there are a thousand funny stories I could tell about John. The world has truly lost a treasure.
I will see you again

Oh, Jambi...our wish is that you were still here with us. 'Mecka lecka hi mecka hiney ho' forever, our handsome blue friend. Our condolences to John Paragon's loved ones. We did not have juice boxes yet, back in the PeeWee playhouse days, but we do now and we will raise a few to Jambi (and to John Paragon) in tribute. Rest in peace. Thanks for our great 1980s childhood entertainment.
