Joseph Cofino Obituary
Joseph, 65, of Teaneck passed away on January 18, 2017. Beloved husband of Blanca. Devoted father of Laura Cristina and Joseph Anthony, Jr. Dear brother of Belinda Colon and husband Eddie, Carlos Cofino and Anna Campbell. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a man of God and a genuine family man. As a lawyer, he was a deep advocate of the Constitution and truly enjoyed helping others in their time of legal need. He loved to play the guitar and enjoyed music and dancing. He also had a keen sense of humor, and loved a good joke.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 AM, and then to St. Anastasia Church, Teaneck for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.

Tratando de saber cómo y dónde se encontraba Joe , me enterè hoy día de su sensible fallecimiento , que noticia tan triste , Joe fuè un gran amigo y una excelente persona .
Hoy día ( 11 de Junio del 2019 ) , va a ser un día muy triste para mi , siempre será recordado.

My closest friend from our childhood. I knew no other man like him. When we were together his presence was with the person he was with. Totally accessible to all people. A giving heart and compassion man. For me, a saint in my life. Thank you my brother for doing so much for me. Will always love and pray for you.

I met Joseph Cofiño in Housing court in the bronx many years ago, He was an honorable man, kind and very helpful. He always had time to listen to me and he also shared about his Catholic spirituality, something which I appreciated during the last 5 years as I struggle with my own faith.
I just found out today accidentally as I was helping one of his clients, that Joseph was no longer with us. May he rest in peace...I will miss him.
