Joseph Noto Obituary
Joseph A. Jr., passed peacefully on September 7, 2011. Born on April 4, 1951, he was raised in Bergenfield, NJ, and resided in Bogota for almost thirty years. Alumni of Bergenfield High School, and University of Bridgeport. Longtime and respected councilman for Bogota, several terms since 1988 to present day. Joseph proudly served this year as Police Commissioner and as chair of the Finance/Tax committee. He was a member of the Rescue, First Aid, Personnel, Fire Department and DPW committees, Democratic County Committee, as well as many other organizations. Employed by H&M International Trucking in Secaucus for many years.
Survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Jaclyn Noto, and Jennifer and Patrick McKay. His brother and sister-in-law Glen and Mary Noto, and their daughters Christina and Maria. Predeceased by his beloved parents Joseph Noto Sr. and Marion Noto (Spano). Also survived by his aunt and uncle, Rose and Norman Schmelz, as well as many cousins, the D'Esposito's, the Elfers', the Schmelz's, and the Spano and Noto families. Extended families the Basurco's, the Nicolosi's and the Viviani's, all loved and valued Joseph.
Funeral Service at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Ave., Bogota on Tuesday at 11 AM. Cremation will be private. Visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Lustgarten Cancer Foundation.

We will all miss Joe in Bogota, he was a very hard working and caring person. He gave much of his free time to benifit the Boro of Bogota. He was a great guy and someone who was proud to call my friend.
