Joseph Pizza Obituary

PIZZA Joseph P. of Hackensack died on Saturday October 13, 2007, at the age of 90 years. Before retiring in 1983 he was an Assistant Director for the Hackensack Housing Authority for 25 years and a Captain of the Hackensack Housing Authority Police Department for 15 years. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack and a member of the Trinity Leisure Club. Beloved husband of the late Florence M. (nee) Iurato. Devoted father of Joseph M. Pizza of Hackensack, Frank M. Pizza of Ringwood, NJ, John C. Pizza of Campbell Hall, NY, Rosalie M. Souza of Ringwood, NJ and the late Maria Ann Pizza. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Jeffrey, Frankie, John, Jake, Austin, Colin, Ariela and Daniel and great-grandfather of Vanessa. Dearest brother of Anna Toriello and the late Dominick Rodano, Mary Kapulka and Annette Blauvelt. The funeral on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack, at 10 AM, interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mr. Pizza's Memory to: The Tomorrows Children's Foundation 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.

My sincere sympathy to the entire Pizza family, Frank, Joe, John, Rosalie and all their children. The passing of your Dad is a milestone and one that closes a historic chapter for a wonderful, caring and loving couple. I know that both Aunt Florence and Uncle Joe will be with all of us in spirit and memory all our lives.
