I am shocked and saddened to learn of this. I knew Karen for many years, but have not spoken to her for more than eight years. I understand privacy concerns are paramount, but would appreciate if someone would contact me at [email protected] to inform me of what occurred.
Very respectfully,
Christopher Romano

I only knew Karen from FB, but right away I knew she was special. I loved her connection with nature and the tiny critters she encountered. Most of us would have not even given notice to a flower blooming or a butterfly passing, but her photos gave them life and a voice. I so loved that she had a very special way of seeing the beauty even in the very smallest creatures, and how they brought her such joy. When she shared the simple wonders from her world, she shared a piece of herself and it always touched me. She will be missed not just today or just on FB.

I met Karen through Facebook in my group The Beautiful Monarch, we became friends when she was posting pictures of Chipper the chipmunk. We chatted many many times and became kindred spirits. Animals were drawn to her and her kind gentile soul. You will be missed my friend I hope you are at peace now. Holli

You'll always remain in our hearts and special memories. A wisp of wind, the most beautiful sunrise and sunset, a butterfly fluttering freely and the surprise of a precious wild creature running free - these moments to come and more will bring you close to heart. You will be missed sweet soul, but never forgotten. Sharon
