Karl Sten Obituary
Karl Henry, 74, beloved husband of Ann Marie (Gullberg) Sten, passed away Friday March 14, 2014. Born in Finland, he came to the United States in 1958. He resided in Ringwood for many years before moving to Riverdale eight years ago. Mr. Sten worked in the construction industry for P.J.M and Sons, Ringwood as a supervisor and also for Computer Floors Inc; Clifton. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Ringwood and also numerous Scandinavian organizations to preserve and share his Scandinavian heritage.
In addition to his wife, Karl is survived by his two children May-Britt Sten of Silver Spring, MD and Jan-Eric Sten of Smithfield, NC, his mother Hilda Sten of Finland, a sister Clary Latva of Sweden, and two grandchildren Karina and Sofia. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4 - 8 PM at Richards Funeral Home 4 Newark-Pompton Tpke. Riverdale. Memorial service Thursday 10:30 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 50 Erskine Rd. Ringwood. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ the King Lutheran Church or to Visiting Nurse Association of Northern NJ 175 South St. Morristown, NJ 07960 would be appreciated.
