Lora Bauer Obituary
Berwick
Lora Lucille Bauer, 86, passed away June 29, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5 followed by a rosary at Iles Grandview Park Chapel.
Lucille was born in Davis City, Iowa, moved to West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School. On January 26, 1952 she was united in marriage to Roger L. Bauer, Sr. and they raised their family in Berwick. Lucille worked at Meredith Publishing Company for a few years and worked alongside her husband, Roger in their family business, Sunny Brook Mobile Home Park. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had a passion for books, and when she was able she spent many years gardening and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her children, Roger L. Bauer Jr., son, Grant, Donna M. Bauer, son Hank and daughter, Michaela (deceased), Lora A. Donahoe, sons, Nicholas, Kyle and Kaleb and Michael C. Bauer and grand dog, Money; sister, Betty Barth and brother, Bob Boeger. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Boeger; mother, Josephine Blake and step father, Oral Blake; her husband, Roger, Sr.; daughter, Teresa Jo Bauer; son, Jeffrey J. Bauer; sister, Judy Richardson and a brother, Jake Blake.
Memorial contributions may be made to her family or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you kids and grand kids. Lucille loved all of you soo much. She will be missed. We shared so many memories the good and the bad and I will miss talking with her. She is at Peace. Such a good friend to me. I'm sorry I can't be there to give you all a big hug. Love JerI and Dave

Lucille was a wonderful lady. I remember her from a few times that Dennis showers brought me up there to your mom and dads place. She was a wonderful lady and I know that you will all miss her alot.Remember in time all will heal and you will always have your memories of her and your dad. But she is at peace and is having a grand time being with Roger once again in life. Once again so sorry for your loss.

Hugs and Prayers to the Bauer family at the loss of your mom. Glad I got to know her and spend some time with Donna and her when I lived in Des Moines. Its always hard to loose your last parent. Gods Blessings to you all.
