Upper Saucon Twp. - Madeline E. Bedard, 71, of Upper Saucon Twp., died Sunday, July 18, 2021. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Fitzpatrick of 38 years, who died Oct. 28, 2020. Madeline was born in New York City, NY on February 7, 1950 to the late Emile and Claudette (Leclerc) Bedard. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ, graduating in 1974 with a degree in psychology. After spending 20 years in sales marketing, she returned to her true love, nursing. She earned her LPN license in 1994, and worked for a nursing home, Lehigh Valley Hospital, and in a family practice doctor's office until retirement. Madeline was a member of Friends of the Southern Lehigh Public Library. She loved to cook and garden and was a mother to many cats. She loved PA racehorse Smarty Jones.

SURVIVORS: Sisters: Michelle Bedard of Edgewood, NM, Colette (John Hall) Leclerc of Franklin, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by a sister: Renee Wolter.
