Marie Boyan Obituary
Marie M. (nee Pannone), 80, of Closter died peacefully Sunday April 7, 2013.
Marie was born in Hoboken, NJ. She worked as a school secretary for the NJ Public Schools for over 40 years. She also was a secretary for the Closter Animal Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by five children; Elaine and Rich Bauer of Kinnelon, NJ, Loretta Zapp of Boulder, CO, Michael and Marcy Boyan of Naperville, IL, Richard Boyan of Louisville, CO, and David Boyan of Denver, CO. She blessed our lives with a zest for living, unwavering strength, a sense of humor and an undying love for the NY Yankees.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jackson and Brian Zapp, Matthew, Jennifer and Christopher Bauer, Claire and Olivia Boyan. She is predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Margaret Pannone, her brothers, Nicholas and Victor Pannone and her husband Paul Boyan. We will continue to celebrate her life and know that her spirit will always be shining upon us.
Visitation Wednesday 4-8 PM at Moritz Funeral Home Closter, NJ. Funeral Mass Thursday 11 AM at St. Mary's Church Closter, NJ and burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery Tenafly, NJ.
