Mary Kounouklos Obituary
Mary (Mavrikos), age 78, of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born in Chios, Halkios, Greece, Mary came to the United States in 1952, settling with her family in Washington Heights, NY. She moved to Wyckoff in 1979. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff. Surviving are her children, Paul Kounouklos and Kristala Moshouris; and her grandchildren, Maria and George Moshouris. Mary also leaves her brother Alex Mavrikos and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 AM at St. Nicholas G.O. Church, 467 Grandview Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. Visiting is Monday 7- 9 PM at the Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas G.O. Church.
