Michael Carpino Obituary

CARPINO Michael, 88, of Lyndhurst died on Sunday February 10, 2008. Mr. Carpino was born in Garfield, raised in Lodi, and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for 61 years. He was a WW II Navy Veteran (1943-45) and took part in the "Seabee's." He was a General Foreman for Otis Elevator Company, Harrison for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a staff member of the Starlight Dance Studio, Nutley. He was a head usher for Sacred Heart R.C. Church. He was a member of The American Legion Post #139, Amvets Post #20, Knights of Columbus #2396, 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Santa Maria General Assembly all of Lyndhurst, and the Old Guard of Nutley. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Antoinette "Ann" (nee Di Camillo) and his two loving daughters, Elvira and Anita Carpino of Lyndhurst. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday February 13, 2008 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. www.nazarefuneralhome .com

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to Ann and the family. Although we are in Buenos Aires, our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. Mike was a very good man and loved by all the people that come to know him. We will definitely miss him.
