Two years has gone by so fast, but my memory of you is as strong as ever. I am reminded of you everytime I get on my motor either at home or at work. I can never thank you for everything you did. Your time was short, but you filled it to the top. May all of your rides be glorious.

Hey you, Two years have gone by in a flash but not a day goes by without something reminding me of you and of course it always makes me smile. You are truly missed down here but I know you are taking care of that wacky gang up there and that is a big job!!! Keep watching over Mary and the boys, they are great! Love ya pal, will be thinking of you all day so at least I will be smiling!!!!

August 22, 2008

Dear Mikey,

Wow that was a tough day.

I didn't think the 2nd year would sneak up and take a chunk out of me. I felt bad for the boys because they saw me crying at the cemetery and lord knows that never happens in front of them. Bryan was shocked to see me like that = he just wrapped his arms around me to keep me safe. Terry snuggled in and wiped my tears.

They both handled themselves like men today -- the problem is that they are only 9 and 7.

Yeah we are doing a good job and sticking together but I didn't think it would be this hard and heart breaking.

I am glad that you are where you are for many reasons including being out of pain and because peoples lives changed and I wouldn't want you to feel the disappointment that we have felt.

We went to D & B's today with Sue and the kids, then Bryan played Cresskill in a scrimmage and played both offense and defense. J came and watched them warm up a bit but then Matt B came and stayed the whole game and even bought me a pepsi. Please continue to keep an eye on him!!

Linda graduated from grooming school so we went over there after the game. You would be proud of both of them but especially Bobby - he has really made a tremendous effort as a surrogate dad. He has taken them on the bikes, running, swimming - just being a great friend - someone that truly makes a difference.

Linda was beaming with pride with her diploma! We are all so proud of her. We saw the OBX crew as well as Mickey and Peggy which was awesome. Bobby raised a glass in your honor and we all toasted you.

We all miss you and wish you were here but we know that you are where you are supposed to be.

We love you and honor and cherish you always.

Happy Anniversary! I can not believe its been 2 years since you went to your new assignment in heaven. At times it seems so very long ago and at other times, its like it happening all over again in real time.

I hope the Harley is always gassed, the beer always ice cold, a smile and laughter always a moment away and the pain always gone.

Thank you for fighting so hard and for so long to make memories for your kids. Your kids are so proud to be YOUR kids - Being MIKEY O was something to be so proud of so they see it as an HONOR to be a decendent of you. I agree with them.

We love and miss you and know you are watching!

We will see you on the field tonight.

Hope we are making you proud!

Hey Mikey~
I know it's early, but it's a bit of a rough month for me. Happy 2nd anniversary in heaven on the 21st. Eric's 1st anniversary is coming up on the 27th and we're not all doing so hot down here. I hope he's learning the ropes up there with you and my dad(s) and not causing too much of a ruckus. :o) (not that you'd mind much ha ha) It's been a while since he messed with the cd player - it was a bit of a pain in the butt for a while, but we kinda miss knowing he was around. Please let him know WE WERE VERY WELL AWARE that it was him since he just loves to bust his big sisters butt! :o)
Anyway, we miss you - we love you.
Keep taking care of Mary & the boys (we miss them too - Hi Mary) and the rest of us down here!
Lots of love,

Happy Birthday to your baby girl Ceili. Can you beleive she is 12?

The first child you ever gave to me was our daughter - I remember how nervous I was going to the breeder to get her and just how cute she was. I remember bringing her to Nana and Poppy before we went home and they saw how small she was. Now she is a mature, friendly, and protective dog. You would be so proud of her!

Now to your dog:
Thanks for being with me during Goalie's ordeal. He is doing better but not 100%. It will take him time to recover. Stay with him when I am not so he is not scared when its time. Besides the kids are starting to deal with it knowing that you are there for him. That is actually the only thing that Terry is ok with. He hugs Goalie all the time now so that incase Goalie goes to see you - the last hug that was given to Goalie was from Terry and the first time you hug Goalie in heaven would still have Terrys hug on him and Terry could send you a hug. Its a thought that makes Terry smile. He misses you very much.

Bryan is being the man of the house and stayed with me at the hospital and was just the perfect little boy worried about his fathers dog. He too is scared. He sees it as losing another piece of you. So many things that he did with you, went with you, helped you with - all have changed.

Life goes on with us or without us.

So you have your work cut out for you so go get busy!

We love you.

I have been telling him the events that lead up to him being born. How Dennis thought the nurse was carrying a football and didn't know what you were jumping up and down about at first.

I can't beleive it is 9 years already.

You were an awesome dad and you are an awesome guardian angel an not just to your own kids!

Happy National Cancer Survivors Day!!

Next time Bryan pitches you and dad take turns on his shoulders he said you guys were distracting him.

Who knew that in one game he would strike 6 out in the first two innings and then hit a triple and steal home.

Then there is your mini - me. He is been playing well and up on Bryans team but his throat was holding him back. Hang with me this week at the dr.

Terry gets his student of the month award tomorrow so we may head up to see you to show you.

Love you lots.

May 26, 2008

Hey 26,

Been some trying times here. Need some guidance when you get a chance in regards to a few things, headstone, location and just a hug or two.

The boys miss you more and more each day. After you passed away - Every time a motorcycle would go past they would go running to the drive way to see who was coming to see them. Unfortunately, now when they hear one and if they even bother to acknowledge it - its with "Yeah there is another Harley going by and not stopping here." Life goes on.

You will always be remembered in our hearts, minds and especially our actions. I feel bad for your sons for all of the disappointment they have had to suffer since you have been gone. I am trying my best to try to keep them safe and as happy as possible. Send me a sign of what to do now.

Love, 14

Wow - 5 years ago today - exactly - to the day - at this time, dad was taking Bryan from the hospital to take back to Nanuet with him and Bobby took Terry to his mom and dad's house.

We had this huge conversation about how you having to have surgery for your appendix was going to screw up our plans for the week since the next day was the Pearl River parade and it was a week full of hockey; Patsy was in Ireland and Sue Ann had just lost her mom - little did we know what we had in store for us.

That was the last time that we both freaked out at the same time.

We will be up tomorrow to see you and dad and give you your Easter Eggs.

Thanks for sending the deer the other night, the boys got a kick out if it.

Keep us safe.

Hey Bud.

I know that the 17th is your happy day and I hope you are just as happy where you are compared to when you were here with us.

I can remember all the times we went to the city for the parade and all the times I hung with the boys with their kilts on and waiting to see you on tv.

I can remember when you left for the parade and it was snowing and you were just not happy especially because I loved it. You were going to rush to the city to stand on a street corner and wait and wait and wait to step off -plus it was snowing. That was the year of Bryan's kilt shot with his shamrock sweater - trying to pull himself up on Goalie's crate.

Smiling memories.

Thanks for making them great memories.

Check out BTAGS' bike - when you get a chance.

With the weather getting nice - please keep on extra eye on the wheels - they are out on 2 wheels instead of 4. Keep them safe.

Please keep an eye out on SueAnn - its a tough time for her too.

Well - First Happy Anniversary. Who new that Sean's introduction would lead me to where I am today. We have only ever missed the Pearl River Parade because of hockey and it was usally against Alex - well today the boys and I just didn't go.

It has been the best (so far) no parades, no kilts, no pipes, no tearful kids missing their dad, no tearful wife missing the good times we had at the parade.

Each parade was a different emotion. Thankfully, mostly happy. I remember the parade that you missed in 2003 - we were there, but you couldn't march. We had just found out that morning when the ER dr called and told us we needed to get in touch with a specialist pronto. And that was the start of it all.

It seems so long ago but yet like yesterday.

Not a day goes by that the boys don't mention you.

We were walking into Bryan's game yesterday morning in Park Ridge and a Cardinal was singing - needless to say Bryan played with his heart on his sleeve. He had a great season and now loves the game of basketball and he loves his coach as well!! (Yeah - I know that is me).

Terry has been really happy - even with stitches and everything else.

Well the Pearl River Parade Official Anniversary of the DAY is almost over.

I love you and glad we had our life together!!

Hey there - just starting to pack up somethings since we will be back in a month!

Keep an eyes on us in the morning and Have a Happy New Year. Keep an eye on BIG BRENDAN!!! and everyone else you who joined the group around this time.

Mikey, the boys were so good - it was a great idea! Thank you!

We miss your smile. We saw a sea turtle today and Terry followed him downt the path.

I think Terry thinks this is his house. But Bryan knows it his house!

Also, please protect me and guide with what do do with Ceili and Goalie and if its time.

I can take care of Terry and his things but the puppies I need some guidance on. Send me something!

We love you!!

Well its almost New Years - the rookie holiday - well down here holidays are not a big thing with the sun shining and the waves crashing on the beach.

We saw two MC units driving on the sidewalks and of course the boys went nuts.

We are doing fine, better than fine. So thank you for this suggestion!

Miss you,

MC, BP and TJ

Hi Mikey'O
We thought of you last night when we toasted our dinner wine glasses and Tim (Lefty) said "Cheers big ears". We laughed about how your boys used to say that. We miss you and love you. Give our sweet Chelsea a hug and kiss and have her give one right back to you from us. Until we meet again...Smile!
