Ralph Cowley Obituary

Ralph E. Cowley, 77, of Topeka, formerly of Nortonville, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Midland Hospice in Topeka. He was born November 14, 1929 at Nortonville the son of James and Luella Marie Robinson Cowley. He was a 1947 graduate of Atchison County Community High School in Effingham, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of The Korean War. He was also a member of The Ozawkie United Methodist Church. Mr. Cowley worked as a Clerk for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka, retiring in 1987 after 30 years of Service. He was married to Dorothy Arlene Dick on May 29, 1954 at Kansas City, KS., she survives at the home. He is also survived by four Daughters, Linda Frye, Phoenix, AZ., Dainna Andrews, Topeka, Cindy Cowley, Olathe, Dana DeMarco, Wichita, two Sisters, Marjorie Gilliland, Holton, Phyllis Scarlet, Valley Center, three Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Son, Michael Andrews. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Nortonville Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour before Service time, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Midland Hospice in care of the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, KS. 66066.
