PERLMUTTER Paul (Pawick), 84, passed away on July 16th, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was Born in Romania, he resided in Cuba, Canada, and Panama before settling in New York City for 42 years. Paul was a survivor of the Holocaust. He was president and CEO of the Swiss Watch Corporation. Beloved son of Isaak and Yetta Perlmutter. Devoted husband for 53 years of Paula (nee Leichter) who preceded him in death in 2000. Loving father to Ida Borer, husband Gary of Fair Lawn, NJ, Joseph Perlmutter, wife Fay of East Brunswick, NJ, Robert Perlmutter, wife Hetti, Jericho, NY. Brother to Mali Wiener, husband Philip, West Hartford, CN, and uncle to Jason Wiser, wife Morissa, Boston, MA., Rachel Dixon, husband Peter, Boston, MA, and great uncle to Jacob Dixon and Yaella Wiser. Loving grandfather to David Borer, Fair Lawn, NJ, Steven Borer, wife Pamela, West Hartford, CN, Jeremy Borer, wife Emily, Brooklyn, NY, Michael Perlmutter, wife Carrie, NYC, NY, Leigh Perlmutter, NYC, NY, Matthew and Rebecca Perlmutter, Jericho, NY and great grandfather to Sophia Borer. He is also survived by loving friend and travel companion Alfa Grossa. In addition to being an outstanding parent, Opa, and great Opa, Paul was a man of integrity who was self educated and had an outstanding knowledge of economics and politics. He also appreciated the arts specifically Opera where he would travel to California and Europe to enjoy great music with his dear friend Alfa. Services will be on Monday at 11 AM at the Robert Schoem's funeral home in Paramus, New Jersey (201-843- 9090) with the burial to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. (Forest Avenue Entrance).
