Philip V., age 60, of Saddle Brook, died on March 3, 2017. Born in Hoboken, he was raised in Teaneck and Fort Lee living in Montvale for 17 years and settling in Saddle Brook 8 years ago. He was an electrical estimator for 20 years retiring from Dooley Electric in Long Island City, NY. He previously worked at Forest Electric in NY, NY and High Tech Electric in Queens, NY. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 3 in NY, NY, and an avid fisherman and golfer. Philip is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Mary (nee Cacciola) Serio, and his brother-in-law, Richard Pleus on February 11, 2017. He is survived by his loving children, James Serio, Leah Andoh and husband Enoch, his devoted former wife, Lynda Buono, his caring sister, Carole Pleus, his wonderful caregiver, Allister Mclean and best friend and canine companion Samantha. Dear uncle of Michelle, Kevin, and Kristina Pleus, son-in-law of Carol Buono, brother-in-law of Lisa Buono, Lora Buono and husband Brian Tyler and a good friend of Bertha Lobelle. Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at an early age, he was the first patient to undergo a successful Deep Brain Stimulation procedure 10 years ago at Hackensack UMC, helping to make history at the Medical Center and paving the way for further medical advances in the disease. Special thanks to Dr. Hooman Azmi and all the physicians that have cared for Phil throughout his journey. Memorial Visitation will be 4-7 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 with a 6:30 PM Memorial Service.
