Richard Parsekian Obituary

PARSEKIAN
Richard A., 95, of Ocean Grove, died Tuesday May, 20, 2014 at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. Mr. Parsekian, who studied chemical engineering at Cooper Union, was the founder and president of the Parcloid Chemical Company in Paterson, a manufacturer of industrial coatings, until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, the Ocean Grove Auditorium Ushers Association and a member and Elder of the West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Springfield, MA, he lived in New York City, then Ridgewood before moving permanently to Ocean Grove in 2003. Surviving are his wife, Marianna Quinn Parsekian; six children and their spouses - Richard A. and Teresa of Pasadena, CA; Robert and Bonnie of Valley Cottage, NY; John M. and Ann of Basking Ridge, NJ; Paul D. and Katherine A. Philipp of Pearl River, NY; Diane R. Paulson and her husband Curt of Allendale, NJ; and David P. and Jennifer of Ridgewood, NJ; and fifteen grandchildren - Ara, Brett, Catherine, Aaron, Martin, Reid, Andrew, James, Elena, Ryan, Alyssa, Timothy, Blake, Garrett and Drew. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10 AM. at the West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe St., Ridgewood, NJ.
