Was most surprised to see that Roger had moved to Raleigh. I knew him in D.C. in the 50s and had met his entire family in Brooklyn. I would have contacted Roger to welcome him and his wife to Raleigh had I known. Liz Rouse nee Graham.

This is such a coincidence. my mother, Elizabeth Graham Rouse, called me this morning after reading obits. she had lived in D.C. In the 50's working as a secretary for the CIA and met Roger who she dated for a short time. she had told me a story years ago where she dated this boy from Brooklyn and she talked him into buying a car and they drove to LaBelle, Fla. to visit her mom and to Brooklyn to visit his parents. she said he was such a nice guy that he even visited her mom later and she spoke so highly of him. she lived on DuPont Circle and met my Dad, W.E. Rouse Jr. ,who lived in the same rooming house and married him in 1957 on their lunch hou and moved to Raleigh where he practiced and practices law and had my brother, Bill 53 and me, Elizabeth, 52. We have all lived here all our lives. she was so pleases he was married to his bride for 50 years. My heart goes out to you and your family because he was a sweet, considerate and kind man. It is wonderful you were able to be together for your grandchild and son. I just thought you would be interested in how strange people can be within miles and years from each other, possible pass by and never even know. I thought this to be sweet and I wanted to share this story with you. God bless your whole family. I feel you all have had a wonderful life with each other as we have. My aunt Sue also married her husband who lived in the same rooming house on DuPont and is also still married. What a great story. what a great man, I hear. Elizabeth
