Stuart Frankel

Stuart Frankel, 87 passed away on Wednesday, with his children Ilene, Alan and Eric by his side. Proud son of the late Tillie and Isadore Frankel, Stuart was a proud graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School, CCNY and NYU with a Masters in Statistics.

Stuart was an avid tennis and tournament bridge player and loved baseball especially the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Knicks in their championship years and the NFL. He had a successful career in Quality Control with Berol and Tenneco before getting into accounting and tax preparation later in life. He was very proud of his volunteer efforts at Alzheimer's Association and Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Stuart embodied the phrase it's never too late to begin studying Torah, never missing a weekly Torah portion or Haftorah portion for the last 20 years. He is survived by his children Ilene and Robert Flaherty of Aberdeen, NJ, Alan and Caren Frankel of Fair Lawn, NJ and Eric and Nancy Frankel of Westwood, NJ. He is loved by his grandchildren Rachel and Amos, Robert, Gabrielle and Jacob and great grandchildren Jonah and Asher. He is pre-deceased by his brother Larry, sisters Elaine and Gladys and his favorite two pets, Star the dog and Willie the Rabbit. Stuart will be missed and is very proud that he led his entire life with dignity and great love for and with his family.

Funeral Services at Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn on Friday, March 16 at 9:45 AM with burial following at Cedar Park Cemetery. Donations can be made to the UJA or the Humane Society of the United States in Stuart's name.
