Thomas Pecorelli

Wanaque - Thomas Pecorelli age 80 of Wanaque, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born in Cucciano, Italy, Thomas came to the United States in his 20's, eventually settling in Ridgefield with his wife Concetta to raise their family. Prior to coming to the United States, he proudly served in the Italian Military. In the States, Thomas attended vocational school and received his license to be an electrician. He used his electrical talents at General Motors in Tarrytown, NY for over 35 years. Thomas was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Haskell. Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years, Concetta (nee Sole), his devoted children, Nicholas Pecorelli and his wife Cathy, Erica and her husband Louis Porta and Thomas Pecorelli, Jr. and his wife Annie. Thomas also leaves his 7 adoring grandchildren, Liliana, Vincent Thomas, Sara, Nadia, Nicolette, Francesca and Bianca and his sister, Elena Gubitosa. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Nicola and Carmela Pecorelli. The Pecorelli family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, October 9, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. Entombment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas' name may be made to, American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
