Victor Pennetta Obituary

PENNETTA Victor T., 80, of Livingston, formerly of Florham Pk, passed away at home on Sunday, February 17, 2008. Victor was born in Jersey City, moved to Florham Pk. in 1986 before moving to Livingston 2 years ago. He was the president of Pennetta & Son Inc., in Jersey City, founded 35 years ago. Pennetta and Son was a mechanical contracting firm specializing in commercial heating and air conditioning. He retired in 1986. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, he was past president of the "Gold Seal Association" of Hudson County and was honored as "Man of the Year" in 1976. He was a member of Hudson County Rotary for 35 years and a former member of Unico National Association. He was also a member of the Fuel Merchants Associaton in Springfield, NJ, New Jersey Service Managers and Forest Hill Field Club, Bloomfield. Beloved husband of May (nee Arminio), devoted father of Victor J. and Thomas Pennetta, Elena Warner and Christopher Pennetta, loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren, dear brother of Arthur and Richard Pennetta and Anne Radigan, also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation from Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Everyone will meet for the funeral mass at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Pk, on Friday, February 22, 2008, at 10:30 AM. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory to: "James Parkinson Fund" and mailed to: Department of Neurology, 97 Paterson St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901, phone 732-235-7729.
