Vinod Acharya Obituary
Vinod Chhotalal, age 73, of Paramus, formerly of Queens, heavenly departed on April 18, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Gujurat, India, he immigrated to the US in 1965. Vinod then dedicated his career to nonprofit work, spending over 35 years in the Accounting Department of Isabella Nursing Home in New York City, an institution focused on providing quality healthcare programs.
Vinod was a devoted husband and father, raising his family in Paramus, where he resided for 23 years. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Rita and son Rakesh. He is further survived by his brother, Harshad Acharya; nephew, Narendra Acharya; niece, Bella Johnstone and his grand-nephews Harsh Acharya and Dhananjay Dave.
In addition to his family, Vinod was passionate about voluntary work. He served as the Treasurer of the Indian Association of Paramus.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 11 AM at Vander Plaat Memorial Home (113 South Farview Ave, Paramus) with cremation to follow.
