Vito Panierino Obituary

RIVERDALE — Services were held for Vito S. Panierino, 45, of Towaco, who died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was the son of Immacolata of this community.

Born in Paterson, Mr. Panierino lived in North Haledon before moving to Towaco eight years ago. He was the co-owner of Goffle Grill, Hawthorne, for many years. Also, he was a member of the Porsche and Dirt Bike Racing Clubs.

Services were Saturday at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa, followed by Mass at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Hawthorne. Entombment was at the Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, New Jersey Division, Bergen County Unit, 20 Mercer St., Hackensack, NJ 07601.

Mr. Panierino also is survived by his father, Sante, of Italy; his brother, Anthony, of Hawthorne; and his niece and nephew, Tiana and Rocco, both of Hawthorne.

Had such great memories of going to Florida with Vito. From Brian Eakins,Joanne Panierino,Eakins husband. He will be missed dearly. Love the Eakins family and also Uncle Sante Aunt Pat and Cathy and Vic Carnevale.
