William Dooner Obituary
William Matthew, 62, of Ramsey, died on Wednesday May 8, 2013 of cancer at Bristol Manor in Rochelle Park. He was born May 25, 1950 to Steven and Jean Dooner. Also surviving are his brother Peter, sister Stephanie, nephews Colin, Graham, Jennifer, and Craig of Mahwah. William's parents Steven and Jean Dooner preceded him in death.
William (Billy) was a good and loyal brother to Robert who was suffering from a long illness. Billy visited Bob daily, regardless of his own condition.
Billy was a resident of Ramsey and Mahwah, where he resided until his death. He graduated Ramsey High and pursued a career in Landscaping.
Billy could often be found spending his time on Long Beach Island, a place he frequented with close friends. His yearbook read: "My life is like a stroll along the beach, as near the water's edge as I can go." This was the essence of Billy.
A joint Memorial Service will be held today 10 AM at St. Pauls R.C. Church 200 Wyckoff Ave. Ramsey, with the burial to follow at Maryrest Cemetary in Mahwah.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
