William Joseph Gallagher

Clifton - William J. Gallagher, 73 of Clifton passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born in Glen Ridge, he was a lifelong resident of Clifton. A graduate of Rutgers University and Seton Hall University with an MBA, Bill was employed as an Account Clerk for Deluxe Check Printers in West Caldwell for 22 years, before his retirement in 1997. He served our country honorably in the US Army. Bill loved the Catholic Church, and was a devoted parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle, filling the roles of Altar Boy at daily mass and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. He is reunited now with his parents, Joseph V. and Margaret (Busch) Gallagher. Bill is survived by his brother Robert L. Gallagher and wife Catherine; by a niece, Heather Nelson and husband Eric and grand nephew, Dylan. Funeral services will be held 9:00AM Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton with a 10AM Mass at St. Andrew RC Church. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday, 2-4 & 7-9PM.
