William Shevlin Obituary

SHEVLIN William P. "Bill" 75, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Bergenfield, NJ, died May 24, 2008 at Hospice House Woodside. Bill was born on Dec. 25, 1932 in the Bronx, NY. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from the US Post Office and Supermarkets General. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sarah (Sally) Distefano Shevlin; son Brian P. Shevlin and his wife Meegan; daughters Susan E. Shevlin and Kelly A. Carambatos and her husband Anthony; four grandchildren, Erin, Kyle, Dylan and Luke all of NJ; two sisters, Josephine Windram and Barbara Shevlin; two brothers, James Shevlin and Michael Shevlin, all of NY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Irene Kackle.

Dear Sally, Brian, Susan, Kelly & families,
We are so truly sorry to hear about the loss of Bill. I(Kelli) heard from Lori Muti recently, and she told us about his passing. All of us are very saddened. All of you will be in our thoughts & prayers during this most difficult time. Even though we haven't seen any of you in years, you are always in our fondest memories that we are so grateful to have. Please e-mail us when the time is right. We would like to keep in touch.

Sally: I am so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. I read the paper from Florida each morning on the computer and saw the obituary. He really had a tough year and God was good to take his suffering away. Be strong as I know you will be. See you in the Fall.
